It has been reported to me that on Sunday morning near the (2nd) pitch a used hypodermic was found by a parent.
I understand this was collected safely and Howard disposed of it correctly (thanks Howard). Unfortunately we seem to have to pick up after those that gather after dark and the; vodka bingers, glue sniffing, general vandalism, dog s**t and now it appears we have to be on the look out for the drug users cast offs!
I know we do check but can I suggest that all coaches are updated on this, and that they arrange with parents as well to walk the playing field prior to training, hopefully we can continue to spot and remove offending items before they injure anyone.
Thanks

Thanks to the “club minded” player sons of Dover club coaches;
Michael Merritt – Matthew Burr – Sean McAdam – Luke Clark.
Not only put forward ideas but also carried the process through, Roy Cottam was a huge help in identifying a fund that would support an application from an age group 13-19 year olds. The ideas were expanded on and costing done, until eventually the application was made with the four named above project organizers controlling the project. Officially referred to as; Young Peoples Outreach Community Rugby Project.
The application was accepted subject to scrutiny, culminating in a face to face assessment 11/01/2006, when KCC representatives with their panel of youth judges probed our panel of four (which result aside was a lesson in life skills in itself). I am proud to say that the boys gave such a good impression that we have been told verbally that the application will be accepted in full – putting a helpful sum of government money into the project.

Yes Dover RFC do collect the vouchers, it’s the last week that Tescos are issuing these vouchers, and they are giving out double vouchers. We do need these collecting, so can we get them in a.s.a.p.
Phil Stewkesbury and his
family have volunteered to run the project. Get as many vouchers
as you can and hand in at the club or directly to Phil.

The shop will be open on Sunday for your sporting needs / orders. With some new items in the pipeline (Christmas is coming) keep an eye out.
Match reports (and pictures) to me via (matchreports @ doverrfc.co.uk ) on Sunday (Monday am latest), and I will endeavor to get local newspaper coverage. Articles should be reasonably concise and if I get these with the team sheet will try and get the teams details lodged as well.
