Dover U17's 11 - New Ash Green
13
Sunday morning Dover U17's received a huge boost to their league campaign
when they were presented with their new playing strip sponsored by
Healthcare Recruitment Company "Nurse Plus". Managers Julia
Weddon and Julie Ballard presented the shirts to team skipper Tom Dight
before the start of their encounter with New Ash Green.
This game was always going to be a close affair and Dover took the
first points with a try from center Aston Day on 25 minutes, New Ash
Green replied from a penalty just on half time. Dover started the second
period strongly and capitilised on New Ash Green's frustration with
Tom Dight slotting two penalty kicks, in the last quarter the tide
turned and New Ash Green sensed Dover take their foot of the gas.,
a converted try took the score to 11-10,and in the last minute Dover
gave away a penalty whilst trying to contain a NAG maul the resulting
kick ended the game 11 - 13.
