Dover Under 15s had no idea what to expect from their opponents this
weekend but put in a strong attack on the touring Belgium side, Kituro.
The Dover team was primarily Under 15s with a few boys from the Under
14s squad joining in the spring holiday fun.
Dover outperformed the visitors throughout the whole game and were
able to use the match to try out new moves and positions normally only
practical during training.
The match was good humoured although Kituro heads were drooping during
the second half.
Man of the match was given to new comer Jack Ayling who not only scored
a try himself but also converted 10 out of the 13.
Strong performances were also put in by Laurence Cox, Finlay Burrows
and Tom Clark who showed speed and agility, especially on the wings.
All in all the team played some excellent rugby and the team as a whole
are commended by the coaching staff who enjoyed every minute of it!
Under 15s – Mills, Webb, Cox, Burrows, Clark, Piddlesden, Woods,
Saddler, Jagger, Milroy, Adams, Ayling
Thanks to the under 14 boys who also played brilliantly – a credit
to Dover Rugby Club.
Under 15s train on Wednesdays at 6.30pm at Dover Rugby Club, Crabble.
