Presentations evening
Hi all
Just wanted to catch up with everyone and make sure you all remembered
that the 7th June is the Team Presentation Night at the Clubhouse at
Crabble.
Club Dress is required - e.g. club shirt, tie (if you have one), black trousers, formal (black/dark shoes).
I am after some volunteers to undertake a few jobs so that the evening
goes well for the boys - can you help at all please?
Volunteer Cooks for the BBQ
Volunteers to get the food for same (the cooks and the shoppers need
not be the same)
Help setting up the clubhouse
Help clearing away at the end
I have borrowed some professional disco light sets, smoke machine etc
and stuff from a friend of ours - has anyone got a multi track CD player
that can also take a microphone? I may need some help actually getting
the lights etc to and from Crabble as my car may not be big enough
(the lights are at our friends in Capel). I will get some CDs made
up for the evening but welcome any others that the boys have and might
liked played - don't worry boys it's not Abba or Brotherhood of Man
etc.
We have an MC for the evening who will be ensuring the event goes well.
Bob or George - do you know how we get access to the BBQ - is it through
Dick or Paddy or someone else?
I have ordered all of the trophies etc and will pick them up on Friday
6th.
I need the names from coaches of Coach's Player of Year and Most Improved
please as soon as.
I need any remaining player's player nomination forms/emails by next
WEDNESDAY evening - if you haven't given it in by then your vote wont
count boys! I shouldn't of had to keep asking for the past month.
H will be looking after the bar for us.
If you can think of anything else we need to do please let me know.

Dover U13s (34) v (5) Kituro Under 13sPlayed on 6th April 2008
On Sunday Dover U13s entertained Belgian touring side Kituro at Crabble. From the kick off Kituro took possession of the ball and put together some neat phases of play to take themselves deep into Shark’s territory, but good defensive work from the Dover pack resulted in turnover ball from a ruck followed by a long kick to touch. Deal and Betts made the short journey to Crabble for
Sunday’s second
competitive fixture of the season with the young Sharks. After initial concerns
over the state of the pitch, the early morning sunshine melted away the surface
frost to set up the perfect conditions for what proved to be a highly contested
encounter between the two sides.

Whitstable Under 13s (41) v Dover Under 13s (20)

Still smarting from last year’s defeat at the hands of Dover in the semi
final of the East Kent Cup, and on a high from their current season’s
undefeated run, Whitstable were organised and confident from the starting
