The under 12s Travelled to Deal and Betts this weekend for a three way match against Whitstable and Deal. First up Deal (fielding a number of U13s); Dover can be very proud indeed of showing great determination and skill in holding this side to a 10-5 margin and indeed for many phases of the game being the stronger of the two sides.
A very close game between Whitstable and Dover came next with a strong performance by Whitstable in the first half taking a 15-0 lead. In the second half Dover rallied, refocus and showed what they are capable of to get two great tries bringing the score within reach at 15-10, unfortunately they just ran out of time. This was a far closer match than previous encounters with our friends from Whitstable, both teams should be commended for their fair play attitude and providing truly great entertainment for all spectators. Outstanding performances come from all the Dover lads this week but special mention must go to Finley(debut),Reece(debut), Aidan(2 tries) and Joe(1 try).
