The second half invited retribution from the Sheppy side, but just couldn't seem to knock it up that vital gear. Dover spent the better part of 10 minutes camped on the Sheppy 5m line, but it seemed like a case of white line fever, until the youthful Cooper run through to score, again converted. The senior team members then showed the youngsters the way to do things in style, as Price executed a textbook dummy pass, opening up for the powerful Liddon to stride through for his first try of the game. Russel then also duly scored to make the game 52 – nil. The next try was simply a masterpiece in forwards play, with a turnover made in a ruck and worked in turn by L Meredith, Gaughran, Mackenzie, to be finished by Liddon to claim his second try, one worked and run in solely by forwards.
Foad then scored his second try down the ever deadlier right wing, with Russel putting the final nail in the coffin with yet another try. The final score reflected a superior team, in skill and in fitness, and the D-Squad now make their scoreline at 3 league wins and no league losses.
Man of the match was awarded to Billy Plews.
