Dover 2nd XV (72) v (0) Dover 2nd XV
On a bright sunny afternoon ideal for running rugby Dover produced
their best performance of the season so far. A spirited Ashford side
never gave up but were out classed in every department and ending up
conceding 11 tries, 7 conversions and 1 penalty goal. With the Dover
forwards following Dan Gills rampaging example and the backs showing
off their pace and flair there was little Ashford could do to stem
the tide.
Second team debutant Sam Coughlan crossed in the corner to get the
ball rolling and was followed at regular intervals with further tries
by May 2, Matcham 2 and 1 a piece for Howard, Cains, Cattermole, Denning,
Blair and Kamara. Next Saturday Dover travel to take on New Ash
Green firsts which should prove to be a more testing friendly.
