Dover fourths maintained their winning streak in an evenly contested game at the Drill field. Dover made a fine start with their forwards winning quick ball and  good passing allowed Mike Samson enough time and space to weave his way to the try line.

After heavily defeating Dover in both fixtures in the previous season, Canterbury arrived with high expectations. The visitor’s aspirations were soon shattered in the opening quarter with outstanding play form an inspired home team.
