U8s Great Performance - Mini Kent Festival

Dover U8s travelled to Tonbridge for the kent rugby tournament on Sunday.
With good conditions and the sun shining Dover's first game was against Sidcup.
Dover v Sidcup
On a bigger pitch than normal Dover started the first part of the game heavy legged but soon got into the game and with good passing
took a two nil lead with tries from Luis and Luke R, Sidcup however turned on the style and came back to two all at half time, in the second half Charlie scored a great try powering through the Sidcup defence, Sidcup rallied though and attacked well scoring five tries though Dover scored two more tries through Luis who was the star man in this game.
Dover v Deal & Bettshanger
Having beaten Deal last week Dover had the upper hand for this game against there local rivals and what a game this was as both sides produced good attacking rugby although both were not at the races defensively. Dover try scorers were Dylon x2, Luis, and a great hatrick from Luke R with dover winning 7-6.
Dover v Sheppy
Dover defence in his game was all at sea and Sheppy were unstoppable as they won 6-3, Dover try scorers were Luke R, Luis and James.
Dover v Aylesford
Having qualified to the quarter finals Dover took on Aylesford and this was a great game by both sides, Dover took the lead through Luke B after good work by Luke R, Aylesford came back to level it up then Luis turned on the style with a dazzling run then again Aylesford came back but Luis delivered a good pass to Dylon who went over for 3-2 to Dover the scores at half time were all level at 3-3, In the second half Dover ran out of steam and Aylesford took advantage and scored three tries to win 6-3.
Dover coaches Chris Bowman and Michelle Walker were very pleased with the boys efforts and look forward to the next game in two weeks at Canterbury.
The Dover squad for the day was Harry Bowman, Luke Burn, Luke Russell, Charlie Fox, Luis Corbo, Robert Keen, Dylon King, Liam Munn-Hollands, James Sparnon.
