Dover’s U13s travelled to Canterbury in good spirits but unfortunately these were short lived.
The kickoff by the home side showed immediately a lack of concentration and team work by Dover. Half time saw the lead hit the 30s and it was always going to be damage limitation from that point onwards. The best spell of the game for Dover came after 50 points had been chalked up and Dover sustained an excellent 8 minute period with no scores on the board for either side. Unfortunately, mistakes were again made and the score crept up to a final score of 68-0.
There were signs even in the warm up that concentration was not at its best. Many simple mistakes were made and there is much work to be done at training in the comings weeks. This will be a valuable lesson learnt and the team should reflect on there own and individual performances. Special mention should be made for new player Cory on his debut and man of the match Robin Jenkins.

Anyone wishing to try out for the U13s team should contact me directly or simply turn up for training at crabble on Thursday nights between 18:15 and 20:00. Sunday training either at Crabble or Kearsney 10:00 - 12:00
