
Dover was in a tough which consisted of Dover, Ash, Ashford, Whitstable and Canterbury. Dover startred there day against Ash, A very hard fought and evenly matched game that saw the two teams draw 0-0.
Second Dover faced Ashford. Dover was excellent and too strong for Ashford with both there forwards and backs combining to good effect, tries from Owen Fleming (2), Ronan Quincey,Christopher Hall and Clayton Preece saw them finish 5-0 winners.
Third they played Whitstable, with Whitstable hard to break down, a first half try from Owen Flemming seemed to be enough to see Dover win there second game but a breakaway Try for Whitstable late on in the second half saw them ern there second draw 1-1.
Finaly Dover played the home team Canterbury, A tired and hard working Dover side lost out in another hard fought game, Owen Fleming scored a consolation try as Canterbury won by 4-1.
With Ash beating Ashford Dover narrowly missed
out on
2nd place
and finished a respectable 3rd. All players demonstrated excellent
team work and effort and should be proud of there achievement.
