Dover were confident of turning over the visitors in this return match, as they fielded a strong side at crabble on Sunday.
A try for medway in the early minutes of the game was a wake up and Dover then began to put together some good passages of play, resulting in Natalie Clarke going over in the corner. The game then somewhat fizzled out, with no clean ball for either sides backs, and a back and forth forward rumble ensued.
Medway were first to break the monotony and a good break from the fly half resulted in a try which was converted. An injury saw Dover lose Natalie Clarke (and their concentration) and Medway ran in another try making the score 22-5 to the visitors.
Dover found their feet again though and after battering the Medway line for 10 minutes, 'Delucy' Mortlock found her way through on the wing for a consolation try. Dover travel to Hastings on Sunday for their next league game.
