Dover RFC 4th XV travelled to Sheppey to play their 3rd XV in the league, the Sheppey 2nd XV having cried off their fixture – there was always the possibility of facing a “strengthened” Sheppey side. On the day a strong Sheppey home side recorded a rare victory over the Dover 4th XV, leaving four sharks injured with broken bones, in what was Dover’s most costly weekend for injuries this season. Final score Sheppey 24 Dover 12.
