Dovers U17 performance continued to improve on sunday when they narrowly
lost to Old Elthamian In the Plate 1/4 final. A poor Five minute spell
midway through the first half cost the team a place in the semi final
when a penalty kick and two tries saw the visitors go 17 - 0 up this
was the only time that Old Es looked in control.
Continual rallying from prop Sam Grayson lifted the Team and the second half saw Dover Pull back some of the deficit with Tries From Matt Burr and Steven Golden Both Converted by lewis stevenson.
Another score From Elthamian put the game beyond Dovers reach, But the determined attitude of the U17 continued when two scoring opportunities were made in the closing stages but perhaps lady luck and frustration prevented the ball crossing the tryline
