Dover U15's played Sheppey for the second week running, but this time at home in the East Kent Cup at Crabble. With the Dover forwards dominant in both the loose and the set pieces the visitors were on the back foot from the outset.
Prop Tom Hubbard opened the scoring for the Sharks from a tap penalty and on a forwards day, flanker Ben Rix exploited the Sharks superiority in the loose with two further break away tries. Second Row Nathan Critcher scored a stormer with a 60 metre run and centre Kris Jones notched up one for the backs before scrum half Liam Clarke finished off a good first half with a typical opportunist try. Fly Half Greg Phillips converted three from six to give the Sharks an unassailable 36-0 lead at half time.
Sheppey to their credit never gave up and responded with a penalty but tries from Sharks centers James Beresford and Kris Jones and a second try by Clarke sealed a comprehensive win. Greg Phillips converted all three finishing with a sublime conversion from the touchline against the wind to round off another excellent team performance.
