The Under 12s along with the rest of the Dover Mini Sharks travelled
to Ash Rugby Club on Sunday for a morning of mini rugby against Deal & Betteshanger.
Our Under 12s were really committed to the game from the start and
brought a team determination to the pitch that has sometimes been lacking
in previous games this season.
From the first whistle, the game was dominated by our young sharks
who punched through the Deal & Betteshanger boys and the game was
played predominantly in the Deal & Betteshanger end until half
time. Some excellent driving of the ball by the Sharks ensured they
were able to score early in the game and this fueled their determination
still further.
The second half saw Dover dominate game play once more although the
Deal & Betteshanger boys did manage to regroup albeit ably assisted
by two of the Dover Sharks - Conor Allen and Oliver Thompson who were
leant to the other side to bring them up to full strength. Both Conor
and Oliver played very well for the opposition and it is a credit to
the boys that they played so fairly.
This was a good match for the boys and goes to show what these young
sharks are capable of when they all play their best. Well done boys!
Final score was 3 tries to nil.
The Under 12s are: Conor Allen, Luke Allen, Joe Bissett, Hal Bryan,
Jordan Caldwell, Thomas Clarke, Marcus Coulson, Robert Duffy, Shaun
Fields, Isaac Macintyre - Geoghegan, Sam Gibbs, Sam Harrison, Thomas
Johnstone, Oliver Latham, James Moynan, Thomas Saunders, Oliver Thompson
and Joe Tonkin.
