60th East Kent Seven's Tournament 2007
Sunday 13th May 2007 – Hosted by Dover RFC

The East Kent Seven’s proved it’s durability, and paid testament to those who play and support the sport and this event. Last year hard grounds, sun bloc, ice cream and copious quantities of cold liquids were the order of the day. While this year the weather provided stiff competition for the amount of cold liquid being worn in drenched clothing over that being actually consumed.

With the loss of a few sides on the day to weather, injuries and other problems the tournament still hosted 20 sides. The event was orchestrated superbly by Colin Hillman and Ray Biggs from the P&O control bus.

From overcast to deluge and on to sunshine all the sides produced great entertainment, and it is to their credit that they held the spectators attention throughout.

The Plate final was between Sheppey and Gillingham Anchorians, with Gillingham finishing worthy winners.

The Cup final was between Deal Lions and Dover A, and following an enthralling and committed display by both sides Deal prevailed once again by the margin of a kick.
