This weekend Faversham (one of the form sides in EK1), travelled to Dover for their league fixture with the much in form Dover 2nd XV. The weather was superb and conditions were “soft” underfoot, allowing the game to develop in the form Dover have become renowned for.
Faversham having overpowered Dover in their last encounter were never afforded the opportunity to gain a foothold. With Price out injured but calling the shots from the touchline, the welcome return of Dan Holdsworth compensated for the gap left by the captain. In a match that saw man of the match “the Dover 2nd team” run, pass and power to a 53 – 5 point win.
This was a huge win for Dover, both for the score line and the opposition, and sees Dover 2nds currently sitting top of EK1.
